NiceAugust 22, 2008 This does exactly what I wanted it to do. I built a home theater PC and I needed a wireless way to enter information and use a mouse. I sit about 10-15 feet away and it works flawlessly. Thanks.
Great Design Terrible ImplementationAugust 17, 2008 I like the design and touch pad works OK, but the keyboard is worthless. I've tried this on 2 Vista computers and you CANNOT type with it reliably. While typing the cursor skips around and words get highlighted and deleted as you type more. Try the Kensington SlimBlade for a wireless keyboard. Unfortunately, there isn't a built in touch pad, but the mouse works great also. Do not waste your money as I did on this.
Works greatAugust 6, 2008 I've had the keyboard for about a week now and it works perfectly. I found that the keyboard has to be in direct sight of the reciever plugged into the USB port but that was easy enough to deal with. I found that the auto power off isn't bad at all, especially since I read Gibb's review before I bought it! Hitting enter twice acitivates the keyboard and works fine after that!
Adesso 2.4 GHZ Wireless Touchpad Mini KeyboardJuly 31, 2008 This keyboard has exceeded my expectations in all aspects. Wish I had known about it long ago. I purchased it for the Touchpad and also its size and weight. Really a great product !. I can now keep my Laptop in an out of the way place and all I need to do is turn it on.
Excellent Blutooth keyboard for a Home Theatre PCJuly 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have used this product for around 2 months now and am really happy.
I started by using this as my home theatre PC keyboard/mouse, but have since switched it with a Logitech Dinovo mini and this is now used in my office. I connect my laptop to a monitor and use this as the keyboard. It works great for both work and presentations. The keyboard is highly responsive and the mouse is excellent if you are used to a laptop. I have used laptops for 10 years now, every single day, so it is not a problem for me. This is truly better than 99% of laptop keyboards.
For what it is worth, when I got this I also tried out the Sony wireless keyboard that is of a similar form - it is sold with their new TP series home theatre PCs. The ergonomics on the Adesso is much better, it is much more responsive and is lighter. The Sony has a heftier build and if you want to buy it from Sony Parts, it goes for around $250! The Adesso is an excellent deal.
The main reason I replaced the Adesso from my home threatre is because the keys lack back lighting and it does not have any of the media center controls or volume controls that the logitech has.
The product is light (which is good)to hold, but on the flip side, it is cheap plastic. Hence loss of one star.
