Yes, it does fall offJuly 4, 2008 It falls off the dash of my Mazda Miata. Not every time. Often enough to be annoying.
Great accessory!July 4, 2008 This temporary dashboard mount beats the heck out of a windshield suction mount, and allows for easy transfer between vehicles. It's a sturdy platform and doesn't slide around. The mount came in really handy during a recent round-trip 950-mile vacation because I could easily remove the GPS unit from view during short driving breaks and overnight stays. Leaving no indication my vehicle was GPS-equipped gave me a greater sense of security.
Works wellJuly 4, 2008 The bottom of the friction mount is non-slippery, so it really does stay put on the dash, even if the dash is sloped. I highly recommend this mount if you don't want to stick a mounting plate on your dash.

It does exactly what it was advertised. It allows you to quickly place your Garmin unit on your dash and stow the whole setup, with the idea that if it is not in plain sight, then it will not attract attention to your car as a theft target!
