Amazon.com Product Description -- November 13, 2007 We've been big fans of Magellan's Maestro line since it came out in early 2006. The Maestro interface is incredibly easy to use, even for those who are not completely comfortable with electronics. At the same time, Magellan was ahead of the industry with useful innovations like multi-destination routing and pre-loaded reviews for points of interest like hotels and restaurants (from AAA). With its 3200 and 4200 series, Magellan has improved the Maestro line giving them a SirfStar III chipset that provides super-fast. satellite lock and making them thinner. In fact, at .7 inches, these are -- at the time of this writing (November 2007), the thinnest portable GPS navigators available. Distingushing between models is also fairly easy.
3200 and 4200 Family of Navigators Distingushing between models is also fairly easy. The 3200-series navigators feature a 3.5-inch screen, while the 4200s have a 4.3-inch widescreen display. The 3200 and 4200 offer great, basic navigation with turn-by-turn spoken directions, pre-loade maps of the 48 contiguous United States, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, and 1.3 million POIs. The 3210 and 4210, add maps for Canada and Alaska, AAA travel information (see details below) and bump you up to 6 million POIs. The 3220 and 4220 add maps of Mexico. The top-of-the-line 3250 and 4250 add a host of other features, including text-to-speech directions that give real street names, bluetooth for hands-free phone calls, integrated traffic (with a free 3-month subscription), and voice command.

You ask for too much informationAugust 31, 2008 I would be happy to write a review of product, but do not want credit card numbers listed by my real name
Ok performance for the costAugust 31, 2008 I've had this item for about a month and am somewhat pleased with its performance. Here are my pros and cons:
Pros: Compact, fits in your pocket or handbag. Blue tooth function works great. Screen bright and visually applealing. Millions of POI and can map by city or your current location. Hands free commands work great. States streets to turn on and gives a tone just before you have to turn.
Cons: Given inaccurate directions to a POI(3 times to different POIs). Volume could be louder. Sometimes the touch screens locks up and doesn't respond to touch. Cannot change the voice or icon. Traffic feature does not work although I have a 12mo subscription.
For the cost of this item, I can live with the cons mentioned above but had I paid 3 or 4 hundred dollars for it, I would have sent it back.
Problems from the get go.August 29, 2008 I have not had a chance to test this unit very well after charging which is a pain because of no AC wall charger is not included I tried to charge via the USB but the service rep from magellan said that will take up to three days and to take it out to my car and drive it around till charged. OK next the software and maps in the unit are already out of date ( I purchased it from AMAZON.COM LLC) The software update was no charge from magellan but the map update is $79.95 So I got the software update and now I have a solid blue screen and am waiting to hear back from magellan. Shame on Amazon for selling out of date equipment.
Would be great if Magellan has better customer serviceAugust 29, 2008 This is my first GPS. I love everything about it, except it breaks on me after just 4 months. I haven't even removed the plastic screen protector, I used it probably 10 times or so. I tried contacting the support via email and phone, but never hear back from them. So I guess I will return it, not sure if I want to get a Magellan again since the customer service isn't that great.
A good GPS with a few gripesAugust 22, 2008 This is a fairly solid GPS and I am happy to own it. Very easy to use and does the job, so to speak. The 3D map display is nice and the spoken road names are helpful. Very small and portable and Magellan's technical support is good, too.
One grips is the screen is very difficult to read during the day, as glare washes it out easily. For the month I have owned it, I had trouble turning it "on" twice, after which the unit performed a "soft reset" for no reason, even with the latest firmware installed. The voice command feature works poorly, even when I speak clearly and slowly. It works half decently with the engine off, but poorly when the car is running and road/engine noise is present.
Overall, though, I like this unit. The features for the price couldn't be beat, and I did a lot of research.
