Product Description Wouldn't this make a great gift for a student, or a commuter? The machine brews right into the thermal travel mug and then shuts itself off, so your favorite coffee lover can simply grab and go!
Amazon.com Review Great for commuters, office professionals, and one-coffee-drinker households, this personal coffeemaker brews 15 ounces of coffee directly into a stainless-steel travel mug. The mug has a rubber handle for a safe grip and a lid to keep coffee hot. It's tapered to a 2-1/2-inch-diameter bottom, so it fits most vehicle cup holders. The coffeemaker itself is designed for an on-the-go coffee drinker. It has a permanent filter--no messy disposable paper filters required--and shuts off automatically after brewing. The mug, filter, filter basket, and mug lid are dishwasher-safe, and the coffeemaker can also be used to heat water for tea, hot chocolate, and instant foods like oatmeal and soup. Made of gleaming black plastic, it measures 9-3/4 inches high, 7 inches wide, and 6 inches deep, and carries a one-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

I'm not sad I bought it, it makes me realize what kind of coffee maker I really need. I drink coffee very irregularly and needed something that would just make me a cup when I felt the need and my dad a cup when he came over.
It does the job, but dirties very easy and the top of the machine isn't heavy enough to stop water from leaking out. It does do the job, but my next one will be better made and easier to clean.
Great inexpensive productDecember 2, 2008 This is a great product. It is perfect for people who insist on a fresh brewed cup. I use the inexpensive round basket filters folded in half and half again. I insert them with 3 sections on one side and one section on the other in order to trap the grounds. This is my second machine over the last 15 years. The first is still in use at a friend's house. I have made thousands of freshly brewed cups with no problems and little expense. I had to throw the included mug away, however, because an unpleasant smell from the plastic liner would never go away.

This product works as advertized. It makes a great cup of coffee. I did not get any grounds in the cup as others have noted. I think the finer the grind may cause grounds to slip through the filter. I wish the stainless steel cup was also stainless in the inside instead of plastic.
Black N' Decker wonderfulNovember 26, 2008 This is a wonderful coffee maker. I have had one for 5 yrs and it has never failed me. So, I bought one for my friend for Christmas..It is an excellent gift. She will just love it! I know I love mine!!!!
Loved it - until it brokeNovember 25, 2008 I got this as a Christmas present in 2007 and I loved it. I didn't use it very often, maybe a few times a month, but it was very convenient and I had no problems with it. Recently, I made coffee one day, and the very next day the machine wouldn't turn on. I tried all the outlets in the kitchen...nothing. I don't know if something internal burned out or what, but the light won't come on when I push the switch, and it's been dead ever since. I would consider buying another, but I don't want it to die on me in another year!
