The Xantrex Technologies XPower 3,000-watt inverter is a high-power, affordable, and reliable method to transform DC battery power into 115-volt household AC power. The inverter is ideal for long-haul truckers who need to power home appliances, consumer electronics, or office equipment on board their vehicle. They are also suitable for small contractors to operate power tools from their van or pick-up truck, and for recreational users such as RV or automobile owners. This high-efficiency inverter converts virtually all of a battery's power to AC. It features tow grounded AC receptacles with dedicated 15 Amp breakers, as well as built-in alarms for both overheating warning and low-voltage indication. It also includes built-in protection against overload and high temperatures. The inverter is easy to use with an easy-to-read digital display indicating DC battery output. It's also easy to install, with included mounting brackets and heavy-duty stud connectors. This inverter is covered by a 1-year warranty.

The inverter works exactly as promised - it'w well made by a reputable company. What they DON'T tell you, though, is that, depending on your application, you need a large (300)amp fuse to make things work. You can't just hook the inverter straight to your battery bank and expect to plug in a microwave, for instance. Even after talking to Xantrex, it took some detective work to figure out this was our problem. If you need a lot of watts, this is a great unit to go with. Just do your homework and order a fuse and fuse holder online the same time you order this unit.
