Excellent kids camera - don't expect too much for the priceDecember 4, 2008 I have 3 kids & for each ones 5th birthday, they wanted a camera. I ended up getting 3 versions of this Easyshare & all have past my expectations for such a thing. It's cheap, it has better quality than a "real" kids camera (Fisher Price), & they're holding up well! Our oldest one is 4 yrs. old & is still as good as new even though it's been played with by all three of my children. And, as they were bought for my kids, they've taken quite a bit of abuse as well & they all worked perfectly. I'd recommend this camera for anyone who wants to get a kid started in the world of photography.
I gave it 4 stars because indoor pics can tend to be rather grainy, but what do you expect for $80? I also wouldn't recommend this camera for anyone who's over the age of 10 who wants perfect-quality shots. But as a fun camera that you don't want to spend a lot of money on, this is a great buy!

For the money, this works great. Simple to operate, quality pictures and works nice with both XP and Vista. Have not had the chance to plug it into my Linux unit yet, so that I can not comment on.
Horrible camera!November 24, 2008 DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT purchase this camera. It is absolutely a piece of junk. It is horrible! I hate it! The optical zoom is a joke, the 8.2 mp do not make a difference and there is always a delay (when you press the button to take a picture, it doesn't work right away). A lot of times, the pictures turn out fuzzy. It is inexpensive for a reason - it's not worth anything. It's definitely worth it to spend a little more money to have a nice quality camera.

The instruction booklet is easy to follow. I am more a user than a reader and I took pictures immediately. Did myself a misfavor by not reading; I left the camera on and drained my batteries. Overall it is easy to use and I'm happy. Great shipping. Thanks to the seller.
Great camera for my use and the price paidNovember 3, 2008 I bought this camera to backup my Canon Sx100. I acquired it as it came as a real bargain ($35) bundled with a movie on DVD I bought at BB. It works fine except that the C813 would not power on with two types of NIMH batteries I have. Using quality rechargeable batteries solved the problem and for the price I paid this camera is performing well and then some! (decent quality pictures and short video clips, easy to operate and light weight)
