Amazon.com Review The sleek Plantronics M110 headset for mobile and cordless phones is a nice little unit that sits comfortably even during the longest hands-free conversations. It can also provide added safety to your cellular phone calls when driving because both hands can remain on the wheel.
The M110 features a sturdy headband, padded flexible earpiece and headpiece, and a fully adjustable microphone. It required no assembly and, in our experience, was extremely versatile. The microphone can be worn with the headband on either ear, and the headband was very light and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The sound quality of the earpiece and microphone were both very clear during testing.
A noise-canceling microphone eliminates background noise on the M110, and makes your voice easily understandable to callers. There are also three levels of microphone volume, though there is no volume adjustment for the earpiece and, in our tests, we often had to ask callers to speak up.
The headset has a 4-foot cord with adjustable clothing clip to give you a wide range of motion. The M110 can be used with any cordless or cellular phone that's headset compatible and has a 2.5-millimeter jack. --Megan Dugan
Good value, extremely comfortable!August 11, 2008 The Plantronics M110 is the best of several headsets that I've tried. It's FAR superior to the little dinky "ear-hanger" types...you know, the ones with the boom that doesn't come anywhere near your mouth?
The oversized ear pad is very comfy, and the light overall weight makes this thing a breeze to use for long periods. I've had it on for hours at a stretch, and it's pretty much totally non-intrusive.
The volume control takes a fingernail to adjust (you'll see what I mean), but so far I've just left it in the maximum position.
Two caveats:
(1) the microphone boom isn't flexible, but is instead rigid. If you need a boom that adjusts, keep looking. You can adjust the *position* of the entire boom, but not the shape of the boom itself.
(2) the volume in the earphone is a tad low. Believe me, you'll never get a headache wearing this headset due to loud volume!
Bottom line: well worth the meager price, especially when compared to "ear-hangers."
Head to head comparison... and lost.July 30, 2008 I bought this along with the panasonic kx-tca60 to compare them head to head. The sound quality was decent and it was not uncomfortable. But I called several people who said that the treble or sharpness bothered their ear and it sounded like a bad intercom at a fast food joint. I kept the panasonic and gave this one away.
Great ProductJuly 17, 2008 I love the headset. I use it everyday at my job. I t enables me to work hands free, without the bothersome earplug type of headset.
Works just fineJuly 7, 2008 I bought this as a second headset for when I'm driving in the car (now that we have a hands-free cell phone law while driving). I'm a bit disappointed that it doesn't have a mute button, but didn't pay attention to that when I was buying it. It has good clarity and I haven't had any complaints when I'm using it.
SatisfiedJuly 6, 2008 Works with Motorola C261 and C139. The padding on the earpiece is more comfortable than the run of the mill stuff I've seen in other products. The cord is thin(like most products these days), but has held up so far.
