Not for OS X 10.5November 7, 2008 I bought two of these at Walgreens for $10 each. I planned on loading them up with photos from my Mac before gifting them to a friend who uses them in her art. Luckily I had my work Dell laptop, because they will not work on my Mac Mini.
-The CD is a mini cd, and will not work with a slot loading mac. I used an external DVD\CD to install the software. -The included software will install on 10.5, but will not work on OS X 10.5 You will get a message that says device not found. - On windows Vista, they work fine.
These are fine if you are using a windows machine, but they will not work on a Mac, and they are advertising that they will
Really a bad productSeptember 30, 2008 I bought two of them and they work during a few weeks, i lost the pictures, the surprise of the present and the money, my recommendation don't buy it.
Answer to Can't fine any photoviewer, or another program owns it.July 30, 2008 This may be late, but I was getting the same error and this did work.
Can't Find any Photo Viewer, or another program owns it. The program will exit! *The cause of this error message: When connecting the Key Chain to your computer, the Keychain will prompt you to select "USB Charge or USB Update". Select USB Update (Press the RIGHT button and then MIDDLE button) then run the Photo Viewer Software. *Make sure that the USB Cable is plugged in all the way (you should hear a clicking sound). *Go to your Desktop to make sure your computer recognizes the Key Chain. The Key Chain should be listed as a REMOVABLE DISK. If not, replace the cable. *Go to your Device Manager to make sure your computer recognizes the Key Chain. The Key Chain should be listed as a STORAGE device in the Device Manager. If not, replace the cable. *Make sure you have FULL administrator rights on your computer *a)Create a new user account and give that account full admin rights, b) Connect the Key Chain, c) Set the Key Chain to USB Update, d) Run the Photo Viewer software.
Easy if you don't overthinkJuly 16, 2008 I got one of these and I was really pleased. I have Vista and so much is not compatible or difficult, but it worked right away.
I definitely had to read the instructions, but it was pretty easy once I realized that 1. pictures will show as unit is charging 2. you need to have unit plugged into usb port with screen saying "updating" before software on PC to load photos will work. 3. you need to hold down on/off for 3 seconds to turn unit back on if you have turned it off.
Lame documentationJuly 5, 2008 After a lot of searching, it needs to be in update mode not charge mode for the software to work.
