Just love itDecember 4, 2008 I'm giddy about the Kindle. I just can't keep from smiling when I pull it out and have so much to choose from right in my purse. The only recommendation I would like Amazon to negociate is better pricing for the newspapers that are offered. Also, I hope the new model is not so new that I will feel that I made a mistake by not waiting a few more months.

I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY WIFE WHOM READS A LOT BUT SHE FOUND THAT THE CONTROLS WERE TEMPERMENTAL FOR HER. TO EASY TO MAKE PAGES TURN. THE CONCEPT IS FANTASTIC BUT NEEDS SOME TWEEKING. WISH I HAD NOT SPENT SO MUCH ON IT!! EVEN WITH WITH THE "O" SHOW SPECIAL
Changed my habitsDecember 4, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is one of those rare devices that completely changes your habits. I bought this for mostly business purposes, but have read more books for pleasure in the month that I've had it than I did the previous 9 months of the year.
I have hardly ever pressed one of the page turn buttons on accident. The wireless store connection is amazing and the samples of books is a great idea. That feature alone will probably suck me into buying more books from Amazon than otherwise. I had heard an interview with an author and just jumped on Amazon and downloaded the sample of the book he had just written. Amazing.
In short, I highly recommend this product.
Good Product, needs a better coverDecember 4, 2008 It does everything you want and is very convenient; reads just like a book. I just wish the cover and the how the kindle sits in it was designed a little better. And, of course, i wish you could "rent" books from the library through your kindle, that would make it perfect.
Addicted to my KindleDecember 4, 2008 My Kindle was given me as a birthday present in June - five months ago. I am an avid reader, owner of a thousand or more books. Never thought I would tolerate a book substitute. It took a while, but now I am doing a big percentage of my reading on the Kindle. I find its screen startlingly friendly to the eye. I recently discovered the availability of newspapers on Kindle, a real treat when away from my usual home delivery of the WSJ. Will you continue to expand the "experimental" uses of the Kindle? How about email?
