Not worth the moneyAugust 7, 2008 I got this frame for my parents in Dec 2007. They rarely even had it on...used the clock most of the time........which didn't even keep the time correctly.....Now 8 months later the screen has quit working.....BEWARE! I would stick with another brand.
Decent value, but not a good overall productJune 25, 2008 Pros: - Low price (as far as picture frames go) - Accepts many kinds of memory cards, including USB flash drives - Remote included
Cons: - Resolution is bad. - Cannot randomize pictures (they show up in the same order all the time) - Clock feature was defective on my unit
Overall, I would NOT recommend this product. I bought it as a present for my mother and I was disappointed with the quality of the picture as well as a few other bugs.
As I mentioned, the picture is bad. If you're looking directly at the frame from a good distance away (6-7 feet), it looks alright, but it's all downhill from there. If you get too close the images are grainy and there's very little visibility from the side (which has more to do with LCD than it does this frame in particular).
When we don't have pictures playing on the frame, we set it to the 'clock' mode, which displays a full-screen clock. Seems like a pretty good idea, but the time on this particular unit continuously changes itself. No matter how many times I go into the settings and change the time to the correct time, it constantly changes itself every few hours.
Finally, I was disappointed when I discovered that this frame does not have the capability to 'shuffle' pictures. This may have been an oversight on my part, because I simply assumed that all frames did this, but I found out the hard way that I was wrong. It may not seem like a big deal, but it gets a little annoying. If you load 20 pictures from the beach, then 20 pictures from a wedding, then 20 pictures from a birthday party, you're going to see ALL 20 beach pictures, then ALL 20 wedding pictures, etc. etc. It's easy to lose interest when all the pictures are from the same thing.
Like I said.. the price is good, but that's about all this thing has going for it. Don't make the same mistake I did; spend a few extra bucks and get a decent frame.
Good but not excellent digital frame.January 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Picture quality. The screen resolution of 720x480 seem to be the new high standard for these kind of gadgets. It is certainly better than most "cheap" frames with pathetic low resolution screens. The display format though (wide) would make more sense if this frame could play video clips as well (as the format seem to be more appropriate for video than for stills). Many pictures, includeing ones taken with 3:2 format cameras, will show with black bans on the side (that is unless you take the time to edit them to fit this screen). The image quality is nowhere as bright and vivid as an lcd tv or computer monitor.
Construction / materials. The floating black body in transparent frame is a nice design. The materials quality (particularly the black plastic part) is not super attractive. Also the swiveling stand seem to have been design to work with a much shorter frame (as it would be if there was no transparent frame); the frame seem to be leaning too far back. (It's easy to prop it up with any object on your desk...).
Functions. The calendar and time functions are a nice addition. The frame can also play sounds (mp3) and sounds + pictures. Once again, Axion could have stretched it a bit more and included video capabilities. The internal memory (16 pics max, no matter what the file size is) can only be used for screensaver storage. You can only choose to play (using the play command in the remote) images that you may store in your (not included) memory card (SD).
Conclusion: it does its job honestly but it doesn't deliver that extra something that could have made it an excellent product.

good for money we paid. the only thing we cant start picture and music together from the middle i mean we cannot skip any folder. in photo mode we can but in combined mode nope, other wise excellent product, i reccomend, i am using to watch my old pictures from sd card not directly from camera. mabe that is one reason i dont give 5 rating.
