Great for the studioOctober 7, 2008 I use my headphones for my drum room and I am very pleased. The phones are comfortable to wear for extended periods of time and the sound quality is superb. I get highier quality of sound at lower volume ranges while playing or just listen to music. I even noticed sounds that I had not noticed before. Great product for the money.
Great Quality \Price RatioJune 24, 2008 I am a studio engineer and Music nut and had been using Sony Mdr-7509 phones for quite a few years. When I recently bought my CHiPOD i couldn't stand the earbuds so I figured I would look into WHATELSE Sony Offered in the Professional range in a less bulkier package for "city wandering". I came across The Mdr-7505 and decided to order them after the reviews were generally good.
I was fully prepared for a disappointment and a step down from my Mdr-7509 phones. Well....it didn't come. These phones are just as good. No bass sacrificed, nice top end. Comfy even though they are the non circum aural earmash types.
I am actually more diappointed with my Mdr-7509 HD set compared to my old Mdr-7509 standards. Their "clearer Midrange response" seems to be more of a re-engineering to cut lower Bass frequencies...but thats another review!!
Buy these without hesitation. they sound good...now will they stay in one piece cause they are , dread I say plastic!!! I trust Sony for phones so My fingers are crossed for the long run.

Exactly what I was looking forDecember 10, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Pros: -Superb sound quality. -Surprisingly good job of keeping out background noise. -They appear to be well made.
Cons: -Headphones feel uncomfortable on the ears, especially if you wear glasses, but they are brand new and maybe just need to be broken in. -Headphones are larger than I expected.
not the best deal you can findJanuary 9, 2007 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
When I received the package, the style of the box that the headphone came in looked really old. The presentation of the item in the box reminds me of the past decades. Anyways, the headphone is good in general, great sound output clearity, fair wire length, and foldable design. However, the down part is that it hurts user's (at least myself) ears after 15 minutes or so, and the pain cannot be ignored. (the cup diameter might be the cause, so if you have big ears, make sure to consider this factor.)
