Probably not for you. November 19, 2008 In general, the FM reception between the unit and my radio depended on whether a stronger FM radio transmission on a nearby band was interferring with sound transmission. In my neighborhood, this phenomenon varied every 5 miles or so, rendering my reception from the unit variable and imperfect. I would not recommend this system, at least near a large city.
Ddin't work at all August 24, 2008 I tried this in 3 different cars and it never worked right. I always got radio interference, even when I set up three different settings based on where I was driving it wouldn't hold the frequency...
Defective Product August 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this Parrot PMK5800 when it first came out. I live in the Los Angeles area and there are no FM stations available. This product should have a dedicated station like satelite radio. It was extremely difficult to set up voice recognition. My wife could not use it at all. Her voice could not be recognized by the product. I thought it was defective so I sent it back and recieved a new one. That too did not work. This product is a lemon. They should warn people not to buy if you live in an urban area. I'm partially to blame for not checking for free FM stations before I bought.
Los Angeles Area July 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Did not work in Los Angeles due to too crowded FM channels. Had to return it.
Parrot PMK5800 June 28, 2008 Installation seemed easy but the unit did not communicate per the directions. It made it a bit harder to configure. Too early to know how satisfied we will be with this type of Phone/Bluetooth use in car.
