Great help..September 9, 2008 the 3 step ladder is a great help for those hard to reach places... I can leave it out & it looks fine..plus, it's very stable...

I ordered this step stool because I was looking for something that could be used to reach tall cupboards in my home, without looking too unattractive. It folds fairly flat, so is easy to store in a hallway or other closet without taking up too much room. The only thing I didn't realize was how heavy it was. I'm sure I could have found this information before ordering if I had taken the time to look for it, so it's my own fault. But instead of being something I will easily use every time I need one, I will have to think twice about whether the effort is worth it. And I'm not that lazy of a person! I'm a very active, in-shape person. I guess I'll just consider this a weight workout in addition to all of my other workouts. :-)

Strong and sturdy 3 step ladder...great for getting things down off the top shelf in the kitchen, or for changing light bulbs...then it folds away flat to store conveniently between the fridge and the wall for easy access latter.

I can't say enough about this step stool. It's beautiful dark wood matches my wood moldings in the house. It's a very sturdy, well made, solid wood stool. It's on the heavy side, which lends to it's sturdiness - but if you need something light-weight or if you aren't very strong or elderly - this is not the stool for you. I bought this for my upstairs to reach the tops of the linen closet and the two-step version for the kitchen and downstairs.

This stepstool is very solid but is extremely heavy and difficult to move around. My idea of a step stool is to be able to move it easily from place to place. This is not the case here. This also has to be put together as it does not come assembled. I had to hire a handyman to do this for me as it was not a simple task. Had I known that it would be so heavy and unmanagable, I would not have ordered this item. I liked it for it's looks, and in that department it came through.
