Careful, gets really hotOctober 24, 2008 I bought this for my new school boy to hang on his desk. It's a good light but it gets really hot and if your child touches it...ouch! Better for adult use or children who aren't curious little boys. :-)
It works OKJuly 30, 2008 Don't expect too much flexibility from the goose neck and it's only about 6 inches long. Clamping it on the vertical position may not work too well. The on/off switch needs some improvement. But then again, it works.
what I expectedOctober 11, 2007 The lamp works well..sometimes the gooseneck doesn't want to flex as easy as I think it should. And the on/off switch could be improved. Other than that...happy with the product. Good value for the money.

I bought two of these and I use them to bounce light off some large mirrors, to brighten up an otherwise very dark corner of the house.
I really love the design -- the 'shade' is not simply conical, and the quality is quite good for the price. The cord is long enough, too. Overall, a great lamp.
