I got this unit to support a projector that has to be placed upside down, without having to buy an expensive ceiling mounting. I just added some foam to the edges and it has worked perfectly for one year! No complaints, very stable and nice looking

I ended up returning this item because it was a lot beefier than I anticipated (the extruding poles are at least 1" diameter). I planned to put my cable box on it, but the shelf would have dwarfed the box. I would imagine this shelf would be perfect for larger, heavier items like a large speaker. It seemed very well made.

great price, easy to install (I highly recommend a ratchet and it is metric), very secure and could hold a bit more than the dvd player and sat box I have on it, could hold a large heavy A/V receiver without concern

We had this installed above an LCD tv which is hung on a sunroom wall. It looks good and keeps the cable box up out of the way and the cords are hidden. It needs to be installed into a stud so you need to be aware of that. We are very pleased.

We purchased two of these wall mount shelves to support the components under the Plasma. The problem is side by side mounted into the 16 inch center studs they do not allow the components to set properly. One 10 inch by 4 foot glass shelve across the mounts gives you a very nice modern looking component shelve. Worked out great. They might work better as a stack if you have the room and your plasma is high enough.
