Awesome routerAugust 19, 2008 I purchased this router because I wanted to be able to use the excellent, third party Tomato router firmware available for free as a download (just Google it). This router is flexible, and using Tomato, becomes much more than a simple Router/AP.
Using Tomato, you can increase the transmission power of the device to send the signal to those hard to reach area of your house. This is also really handy in a wireless saturated area where you need some power to deal with competing signals. I own three of these, and use two at home, and one at work. They are all flawless, fast, and the best bargain for a G band router.
Pretty good!!August 15, 2008 First of all, I am very happy with the delivery time, very fast ^^. And as to the product itself, this Linksys WRT54GS Wireless-G Router with SpeedBooster is very stable for most of the time, and the set up is very easy also. Although I experienced occasion disconnection from the router, it's just rare occasion, so it's great overall.
so worth it!August 12, 2008 I received this device sooner than expected. It was very easy to install and it does everything it said it would. we are very happy with this product.
Linksys WRT54GSAugust 6, 2008 Product works fine. The installation disc provided did not work and I had to go to the Linksys website to install.
The router is fine. The software is awful.July 31, 2008 As I have read in other customer reviews, be prepared to call customer support if you use the Linksys software to install the router. Other info: the PC that is hard-wired to my home network is running Windows XP.
