This cable does exactly as promised. HDMI on one side and DVI-D on the other side. The ten feet is good if you have some space between your setups.
Some notes for buyers:
1. To get HDMI video on your monitor through DVI-D, your monitor must be HDCP compliant.
2. This connection only gives you digital video. You need to output sound through another means.

Well - when my PS3 component cable started messing up (cheap chinese crap) - I figured I might as well free up the slot & put DVI into use - picture is good & you can use existing PS3 cable for audio.
Just remember to restart your PS3 after you hookup this cable - as it requires reconfig

This product works just as well and built just as good as the $150 monster cables. Just doesn't have the costly packaging. No reason not to buy this one. Will be buying more.

Works just like the 3' long one I got from Best Buy for $75.. I guess that is where the make their money.
