Nice Project, will not buy anything elseOctober 1, 2008 Ordered one of these to connect a Harman/Kardon DVD38 upconvert player to a Panasonic 50 plasma. I purchased an overpriced HDMI cable when I bought the t.v. a few weeks ago, but never let the Monster out of the bag! After 2 movies & a little HD programming with this cable, here are some initial impressions 1. Cable Construction Very good. The cable feels & looks solid. Definitely designed to serve function over form. 2. Picture Quality vs. Component Video Excellent! Cannot upconvert to 720p/1080i without it! Colors are VERY deep & clarity is significantly better (even on SD 480i). 3. Bang for the buck EXTRAORDINARY...like many others, I bought an extra cable for back-up. Even the cheapest 10 HDMI cable that Wally-World sells is $35 dollars, without the ferrite cores or gold (corrosion-free) connectors! Will definitely make all future cable purchases from this seller!
