Works Just GreatAugust 30, 2008 The Iomega 500 GB Hard Drive worked perfectly right out of the box. I was a little concerned when I first got it that there was no instructions in the box. Instructions were just not needed. I plugged it into my Dell 8400 USB port and it immediately fired up and appeared as a new drive. I have used it for about a month now and have had no problems at all. Good drive for the price.
Iomega External Hard Drive - Easy as pie!August 30, 2008 Product arrived in good time and was well packaged. All you do is take it out of the box and plug it in and you're ready to go! What a relief to have a dependable external hard drive to back up my files and not worry about losing them again! I would highly recommend this product.
Works great for me and my iMacAugust 29, 2008 I have mine hooked up as a Time Machine backup drive to my 20" Aluminum iMac 2007 (320GB internal). Works perfectly so far. I just plugged it in, turned it on, and Mac OS X did the rest automagically. When it is on, it is very quiet. I have standing it on its side so it takes up almost no space, and it is behind my iMac so it is basically invisible. Makes me feel a little silly for choosing a drive that matches the aluminum look of my computer. After it's done backing up, I unmount it and power it down until Mac OS X reminds me to back up (every 10 days). This thing is everything I wanted, and at a great price.

The blue light though creeps me out in the middle of the night though.
