I CANNOT GET IT TO INSTALL, I HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT WESTERN DIGITAL AND THEY DON'T EVEN RESPOND TO MY EMAILS. THERE ISN'T ANY INSTALLATION DISK, NO INSTRUCTION MANUAL AND THE PLUG AND PLAY WON'T PICK IT UP. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM AMAZON AGAIN.IT WAS A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEYL. LINDA STAMPER
A well designed hard driveOctober 6, 2008 While I could have gotten my girlfriend a different hard drive cheaper, this more than makes up for it's slightly high price with its quality and size. It is extremely convenient for her to use in her memory heavy college program as it's small enough to fit the limited desk space and doesn't require a power cord.
So far it's working great under windows, linux and mac. The cord is short but it's also easy to carry around.
It scratches easily but we got a nice case for it and it's working great!
