Phenominal little tv January 12, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I wanted a small tv to keep up with news while I was using my computer. I chose this one, and I'm glad I did! I can't think of anything negative to say about it. The color picture is great. Instructions are well written, and setup is easy. I'm afraid I'm spending more time admiring the fantastic little screen, than getting work done on my computer!! I would recommend this to anyone who needs a small screen tv.
Great bargain for a wonderful little TV January 6, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I purchased this portable television so that I could verify the RG6 cabling on a home network project. The product description only stated that the television has an A/V input jack, so I took a chance when I purchased this television since it might not have worked as a reception tester.
I am happy to report that this little TV has exceeded my expectations. It has two different A/V jacks plus an external antenna jack. For television reception you can use the built-in antenna or a 300 Ohm Twin-lead VHF/UHF external antenna to receive over the air analog transmissions (until February 17, 2009 when the transmissions go digital in the U.S.). The television also accepts the standard 75 Ohm CATV cable connection. The two A/V input jacks can be used to connect camcorders, DVD players, video game consoles (like a PSP) and other devices that use RCA style jacks. The unit comes with a rechargeable battery pack (external and it also doubles as a stand), a 120 volt A/C adapter and a 12 volt car adapter. The package includes a car stand, remote control (batteries included) and stereo headphones.
For those of you that plan on traveling with this television it operates with the following worldwide color systems. NTSC358 (used in North America), NTSC443, SECAM, PAL, PAL-M and PAL-N. The on screen display (OSD) languages are: English, German, Spanish and Italian. The television features built-in stereo speakers and they can accept the following sound system transmissions: M (used in North America), D/K, I and B/G.
If you plan on using this television for a game console, the USB connection fans out into an RCA jack for audio and one for video. Plus a power input to the television.
The screen is a beautiful 7" TFT color LCD screen with a resolution of 1140 x 234. And it can easily display both Wide (16:9) and Normal (4:3) aspect ratios.
Set up was easy and the television easily pulled in a dozen different channels even without an external antenna. When I plugged in the cable TV the television easily received probably 100 different channels with crystal clear pictures. I am still working on my home network project, but have already started using this TV to watch local programming. I love this little TV and I consider it a great bargain for the price.
