Great mountMay 15, 2008 It works great with my Nuvi 660. Even when the dashboard is not completely flat it stays in place during turns. Easy to remove (theft prevention) and does not leave a tell-tale ring on the windscreen like the suction mount.
The arm from the suction mount needs to be used with this base.
Do not put this over the passenger side airbag - having a GPS flung in your face at high speed is not going to be very healthy.

Awesome Design!!May 15, 2008 My friend had one of these and I had to have one. I purchased mine the very next day. You may think this will slide around or fall off a curved dash, but it won't. This stays put! Also, there are no indicator marks left from using this mount like with a suction cup mount. No thief will ever suspect you even have a GPS. It also fits numerous models of Nuvis and StreetPilot series, so it's practically one-size-fits-all. I highly recommend, and applaud the designer. This is an excellent solution I couldn't live without.
Great addition.May 15, 2008 We have found this to be a great addition to our GPS. So much so that we purchased a second one for my parents. It makes putting info in so much easier, and the ability to set it on the floorboard out of site so conveniently is a plus. Highly recommended.
friction dashboardMay 15, 2008 I love my friction dashboard mount. It is great. It does not move and I do not have to worry about my GPS falling off the windshield.
