1 out of 5 stars Worst Monitor I have ever owned!!!   November 5, 2008

I purchased this item in April 2008 as new. The display now has a nice long strip of dead black pixels since early October that got worse and worse throughout October. It may eventually reach up to the top of the screen as it has been getting much worse. I have never had problems this bad with any other monitors I have owned. Please stay away from this model as it may have problems such as this.

4 out of 5 stars Great value and display   May 31, 2008

This was my first LCD purchase after my CRT died on me. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly light this display is. I could probably lift it with one hand, making it very easy to setup and install. The other thing I noticed is how solid the stand is. A few of the other displays I considered had cheap flimsy looking stands. This one tilts without feeling like it's going to fall over.

This particular model has an anti-glare screen instead of the popular high-gloss finish. I know this is a matter of personal preference, but I find the reflections in high-gloss screens distracting.

The display itself is very bright with vivid colors. The native 1920x1200 resolution looks absolutely amazing. I would strongly recommend using the DVI connector if your video card supports it. The analog connection can make text a little fuzzy.

The only thing that makes this a 4-star monitor instead of 5, is that there is no USB hub built in. At this price though, I think it's a great buy.

5 out of 5 stars Worth every single cent   May 9, 2008

It is a great product considering its price. Wonderful image and sharp colors, big size 24" widescreen, perfect for working with many windows open, full HD support and cool design that fits great with my Mac computer and my desk.

It is not a top range product and does not aim for professional designers. It doesn't have features like many inputs, integrated hubs, speakers etc. nor does it have an advanced technology panel like IPS or PVA. It is a single TN panel. That's why it is so cheap. But if you are not a professional graphic designer and you do not mind about accurate color reproduction, you will not get disappointed as image quality is still amazing. If you are thinking about buying with the same money a smaller monitor with more features, do not do it!! Sizes matters as well as full HD resolution. As I said, it's really a monitor worth to buy it, ideal for both working and gaming.

1 out of 5 stars No quality control whatsoever!!!   February 19, 2008

Bought this monitor with a Dell Vostro 200. Bought it from Dell directly. The computer turned out to be pretty good but the Monitor just killed me. I added a couple of pictures for customers to see what I am talking about. It has 5 inch spots on it, that look like some kind of a production defect. I really thought that Dell could do better than that. I mean come on guys, there has to be some kind of quality control!!! Right? Now i have to send it back and see if they can exchange it for me. In exchange i bought me a Samsung 24" 245BW and it works just fine.

4 out of 5 stars Great Value   January 11, 2008

Keep in mind you are getting a bare bones monitor. No bells and whistles here. But then again you are not paying for all the extras. If that is want you want than look elsewhere.
This is good value in my opinion. Colors are nice and clarity is good. The factory settings are rather poor and it took me a few days to get it dialed in. At first I really let down but after getting things set to my liking I am more than happy. It is a big TN screen and some of the viewing angels are not the best, but nothing major. I use this screen for day to day internet browsing viewing DVDs and gaming. Gaming and DVDS have been a delight with the big screen. Basic set up is very easy but as I have stated before it will take some time to get it tuned in.
You have to evaluate what you plan to use this screen for. If you need ultra high quality color reproduction and super sharp images you will need to fork out a few more hundred dollars. If you are OK with
just above average quality and no bells and whistles this one is all you.
