dissapointing December 4, 2008 I some how missed the fact that this tv has NO HDMI connection. That may not be a big deal now, but it will be in months to come. The only other real complaint is that there is no way to bypass the digital sub channels when scrolling up or down. If your station is broadcasting the main ch. and 2 or 3 sub channels this set stops at each one. You can delete the whole group, but not just the subs...I have never seen a TV with this limitation. This problem could have been worked around with a favorites list, but thats not there either. The price and picture are good, but this tv is not in step with modern HD technology.
came in handy November 12, 2008 I bought the TV just for the bedroom and ended up using it as a PC monitor as well as a television set. The built in tuner works great and allows me to get some HD channels that I couldn't get with my set top tuner. Very happy with it. The only downside would be the size. I didn't realize how small a 19 inch TV is because I'm use to my bigger TV in the living room.
Junk October 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This item lasted about one year before the screen went black. It costs as much to fix it as it does to replace it. Save your money for a decent TV.
Funai pretends to care about customer satisfaction October 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My daughter asked me to find a reasonably priced HD/SD/NTSC TV for college. I did a search and found this sylvania. Problems from the onset...the remote died 3 hours after use. I called and it took 6 to 8 weeks to receive a replacement. I probably could have lived with this but there is more. A week later (after the remote died) the LCD screen developed problems. It took two weeks for it to be picked up and then when I called for status they said another 6 to 8 weeks. I finally called amazon and they apologized and asked why I didn't tell them sooner? I just thought it would be faster and easier to deal with the manufacturer...was I wrong. Funai would not send me a new replacement and in fact wanted me to send it back to Amazon. What a sorry company..... I am still waiting for the TV to send it back to Amazon.
Beautiful quality at a decent price September 30, 2008 I received almost the same TV but in a larger screen size as a Christmas present, so when I needed to add a second TV for my bedroom I went with the same brand. Very nice picture, decent sound, reliable.
