Great productAugust 27, 2008 Works as advertised ........... only complaint is that you have to answer phone calls on the handsets and not your cell phone .......... at least that is the way it is with our cell phones when they are linked up using Bluetooth ............. other than that - perfect

I bought this on impulse then read the reviews about dropped calls. So I've waited about a month and it's still working OK. We have frequent power outages during thunderstorms, and it does drop out instantly even in a momentary power bump. I wish the base had battery backup, and plan to get a UPS. One other problem is that when you answer a call it can take a few seconds to link. So we wait a couple seconds before saying hello. That's partly due to verizon. We have no land line and use it with 2 cell phones, a Moto Krzr K1M and Samsung U740 alias. It links every time. Handsets work 50+ feet even outside. There is an intercom feature between handsets and a handset locator. Ringer is pretty quiet even on highest volume setting. Due to cell phone limitations (time delay and digital audio), this will never equal the quality of an analog land line but if you're 1/2 mile from the nearest phone line like we are, this is the next best thing and a lot cheaper. If I had it to do all over again I would get the GE bluetooth gateway and pretend like I had a real phone line.

What I like about it is that once you establish the Bluetooth link, a very easy process just like connecting with a headset, the connection is renewed every time your Bluetooth phone comes within range of the base. No, you can't use it with your cell phone and still have a house line free, but you can always just use your cell. The DECT 6.0 system works much better than the old system we replaced, with clear signals all throughout our house.It doesn't have an answering system, but with our cable phone system, that's an easy issue to resolve. The text-to-voice announcement of incoming calls is interesting, often hard to decipher. The handsets look good and the base is unobtrusive. It's a good system.

I have had this phone for over a month and i just wanted to say i love it. i did read alot of negative reviews about dropped calls before i purchased, but Panasonic has always been good for me in the past. I have not experienced one dropped call with this phone either on the landline or link-to-cell connection. I always park my cell on its charger within 2 inches of the base unit, and i have the 2 handsets on 2 different floors of my brick house, they both have kept a clear, uninterrupted connection both inside and out. I used to miss a lot of calls on my cell when i had it on the charger, this phone has solved that problem thoroughly. Also, the fact that it takes regular rechargable AAA batteries will come in handy in the future, i will not have to worry about finding that proprietary battery pack. The speakerphone function is also useful for when i am put on hold with the DMV. Thank you Panasonic, you are my own personal Jesus.

This is the phone I have been waiting for and almost had all the features I wanted: Cellphone link and DECT technology. Unfortunately, there's a severe problem with this phone that it randomly looses connectivity with the base and drops the calls. I see others have also encountered similar problems.
I hope Panasonic fixes this issue and then makes it known that it's fixed so that I can buy the phone again.
One thing that is annoying is that either one of the cellphones or the main line can be used. I wish it would allow simultaneous use of the cellphones with the main line.
Additionally, I hope they make it a 2-Line phone as well.
