A Sony non-XBR set at at even better price! September 5, 2008 As a previous owner of a Sony 40XBR4, I was skeptical of a Sony set that was not one of the XBR series. Consequently, I discovered the "Z" series which has most of the XBR features, but at an even better price.
The KDL-46Z4100/B is one great set with a picture to match. This model doesn't have the x.v color feature, but has all the other bells and whistles of the XBR for hundreds less.
The "Z" series features a TV Guide programming feature. Since most people have either a digital cable box or satellite receiver, I question how many out there could actually make use of this feature.
Checking out the Xross Media Bar setup menu it is easy to get lost in the amazing amount of controls available to the user. This may look like a minus, but it is really a plus.
LCD TVs are known for their slimness, but this model really outdoes the competition. With a one-inch thickness, it should fit most anywhere--especially on the wall.
If you are looking for a state-of-the-art LCD TV, look no farther than the KDL-46Z4100 series. Its picture and features will amaze you.

Wonderful picture! XBR4 is a bit sharper but not enough that taken as a whole this isn't the winner. Plan on using external speakers.
First LCD TV August 6, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This was the first LCD HD television that I purchased and I found the Sony to have no faults (purchased 6/2008). I love the 3 inch depth and light weight (about 57 pounds). The set up was easy and the screen viewing wonderful with any media thrown at it ("rabbit ears", cable, blu-ray, DVD, XBOX, Wii). There is no glare and you can view easily from an angle. 4HDMI and multiple component ports made for a no fuss addition of extras. The remote is a bit large but that may be how other manufacturers are doing that. Overall, a wonderful product from Sony
Great TV, a tad pricey though. August 4, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
We bought this TV because most of what we have comes from Sony, and we like how well it all integrates. The form factor is very clean, the silver bezel is really nice and a good change from black, and the picture is excellent in HD. Sound through the speakers is not great, but who buys this and doesn't have sound going through a theater system? I would just say that it is on the pricey side, since it's Sony, and a Samsung probably offers the same features at a lower price. Still, if you're a Sony fan, this won't dissappoint.
The Sony Matrix of Features for the KDL-37BXR6 is Still Wrong August 2, 2008 0 out of 23 found this review helpful
Sony Bravia XBR-Series KDL-37XBR6 37-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV The Sony Features Matrix is Still Incorrect for the KDL-37XBR6, which I just purchased. This TV does have True 24p and 3D Graphic Onscreen Controls.
