Doesn't work with the Macbook Air (MBA)September 28, 2008 Doesn't work with the MBA. Something to do with insufficient power supply probably. Toshiba help wasn't too useful - they have a standard reply for this by replacing the USB cable with one that has 2 heads on the computer side to increase the power. Even when I tell them that the Air only has 1 USB port, they insist to solve the problem with a 2 head USB wire. They should read customers' emails properly and reply accordingly.
Other brands like Lacie work fine on the MBA.
The Toshiba works in the Macbook Pro though..
Great ProductSeptember 24, 2008 I have been using this product for 2 months. Price is little above the average however it worths the premium. I bought it as a backup source for my mac. It is working perfect so far.
Good Product!!!September 23, 2008 I've had the external hdd for a few weeks now and its worked great. Its quiet and kept itself very cool. My only problem with it is the outside scratches easily, but its only cosmetic damage. Otherwise I will probably buy another once this one is full!
Smaller is betterSeptember 23, 2008 The size of this drive is great and the fact that it does not require an external power source makes it even more convenient.
great itemSeptember 21, 2008 So far so good...the only thing is that it is formatted in FAT 32 file system (which means that files greater than 4MB won't fit...so I had to reformat it to NTSF file system...but besides that, I haven't had any problems
