 Not a Good sequel August 13, 2006

After playing the first game and hearing about a sequel I was excited. I started playing this game with a friend and about 40% through the game he quit because of the excessive amount of battles. I will agree with others that the graphics in this game were top notch, but it was not well balanced between exploring and battling. The enemies were overly hard and extremly annoying to fight. This game gave me exercise in the foul language department. By the time I was 85% down I was at the quiting point. After FINALLY beating the game I learn of the alternate ending and said, "This game doesn't have the replay value to even spark any slight interest in me. Blockbuster is glad I didn't smash it." Unfortunatly for those of you that haven't played the game, you will need to in order to get to full circled experience of the saga. Enjoy.

This game is great. The character matured since "sands of time" into a hardened warrior that won't take anybodys crap. I've noticed that there where comments that the prince was rude?? I don't really think that you'd be a very nice persone if you had a persistent demon chassing you around. The game play was pretty good, the controls are easy to use and the combos are easily exacuted as you get more accustomed to the game. The story is very good. Overall this game was wicked. If you are skeptic about buying it, I suggest you go out and rent it, you won't be disapointed.
Graphics are good, but the action is sucks. July 17, 2005
First of all, I should say that the graphics in this game are really good. It looks like a CG movie, espically when you meet a middle boss, the graphics have entitled with a special effect. However, the action and the Player control are sucks. Hard to control the player to fight the evils. Although it says there are a lot of fighting combo, it is still hard to activate those comboes. For this game's graphics, I gave 3 stars.

In general, the game is good but I wouldn't buy it at its current market value... First off, the game took me 10 days not only to finish, but also to complete, which is not very long as I don't pull all-nighters or stay up until the wee hours of the morning to play games. I say anyone good enough and serious about finishing the game as soon as possible could easily pull it off within 2-4 days. Now not being a long game is actually a good thing in this case, as I wouldn't be able to stand the repetitive and redundant puzzle solving any longer than I have. It's not that the puzzles were challenging, but just that they were always the same thing. Secondly, I don't mind backtracking in order to find special items/weapons that is typical in games of this genre, but the problem with this game is that it is very easy to get lost without a walkthrough. This is partly due to the fact that the map is quite useless as it is not comprehensive enough. X marks your objective and the little red figure marks where you are. These marks are then superimposed on a aerial view of the fortress, which is quite impractical to say the least seeing as you spend 99% of your time INSIDE the fortress. As for the last con, the combos were great but again a little redundant. You're pretty much doing the same moves but at different times during the combination depending on which button you press first. On a positive note, the story is original and easy to follow regardless of whether or not you played the first installment of Prince of Persia. The creators of the game did connect the stories' of the two, but this is done only at the beginning of the game as an introduction. The rest of the story is entirely unique to "Warrior Within". Furthermore, the scenery graphics were awesome, the controls aren't very hard to figure out, the cut scenes were convincing, and unlike others, I totally enjoyed having some Godsmack playing during fight scenes. That kind of music simply gets my adrenaline going. Anyhow, I'd only recommend buying the game when its price gets lowered.

This game is the best game i've ever played. The graphics are amazing, all of it looks like it's from the cinematics. The game play is even better, the controls don't lag. The story is really well written, it gives a chance for the persian prince to mature and grow along with the world he tries to save. So if you love action, amazing graphics and an intersting story line pick up this game but if don't like said stuff then don't pick up this game.
