Its not that much of a great hockey game,but the PSP doesn`t have any hockey games exept this one and Gretzky NHL,the original version so even if you don`t like it you can`t do much.You don`t have super graphics like any games of hockey for PS2,GC,XBOX and ohers but i will take it for what it is,a hockey game.
Well you have a few modes,exibition,season,3 on 3,wayne v.s wayne.A mode i like is the wayne vs wayne mode you get to earn 99 times points and when the circle is full you can activate wayne to play as a bonus player.You can win Gretzky points by completing a chalenge succesfully like win the stanley cup,make a big hit and more and with those points you can buy vintage shirts,perfect aim mode,buy Wayne Gretzky and that is are nice options and it keeps you playing to get all the unlockables and thats what is cool with that Gretzky NHL franchise.
You have different angles for the camera for exemple coach,player,team and more i love the replays they look great.When you play,the visuals arent that good but the replay really makes a poor play look good.As any NHL games the players,stats,teams,arenas are there.
The game`s good and everything but the game`s big problem is graphics.They look like some computer NHL games from a few years ago and it makes the game less attracting.Also you don`t have Dynasty mode where you play for many seasons or have any objectives like for games on non-portable consoles.And now this game is worthless if you get NHL 2007 because its a better game in about every ways,but considering it was a beggening hockey franchise on a new system......
Good but not recommended if you can have NHL 2007.
GRAPHICS:7/10-So far every PSP games had nice graphics exept this one and and Gretzky NHL(original one)are honestly the wrst graphics i`ve seen for PSP.
REPLAYABILITY:8/10-Great because if you like hockey you won`t get tired of playing it and unlockables keeps you playing too,but the new NHL 2007 leave this game somewhat empty.
MODES:7/10-Good but a lot of variety and frankly its all been done already.
APPRECIATION:7/10-Good but not worth it anymore frankly,but there arent tons of PSP NHL games too.
