I don't know what's going on with amazon.ca. Like most people here I was told my pre-order won't be shipped until June sometime. So, instead of waiting such an unreasonable amount of time, I decided to just go out and buy the game at a nearby store. Now, I get an e-mail telling me that my order has just shipped. It looks like there are some serious communication problems here...Now, I just hope I can return the game if/when it arrives...
For anyone who is in a similar situation, you may get it soon. That is if the new e-mail they sent is accurate :P
But seeing as this is supposed to be a review, I'll say that at least the game is tons of fun! I just don't appreciate being jerked around with e-mails giving false information.

Not very happy with amazon I pre ordered this game for my son thinking I would get it on time for his birthday now I can't even cancel.

Update May 2:
I'm very confused this morning.
GTA4 arrived in the mail this morning and the shipping date on it said April 30,2008. A company as big as Amazon.ca made a huge mistake when they put out there first email stating that pre-ordered GTA4 would be shipped after May 20th. I'll be taking my zeller's purchase back today considering amazon.ca did follow through on their pre order prediction. I hope amazon.ca takes this mix up in consideration when they have another popular pre-order date that gets screwed up.
Update:
I received an email from amazon.ca tonight apologizing for the mix up. They said it was human error and that my package had been ship yesterday and I should receive it on the 6th of May. I found a GTA4 yesterday at zellers so the amazon.ca GTA4 will be going back on May 6th. I will think twice next time when it comes to pre ordering anything from amazon.ca.
I also pre ordered my Grand theft auto 4 and got the same unacceptable email.

I'm sure the game is great but the over experience with Amazon is awful. Pre-ordered the game to be delivered May1-2, perfect. Only to find out 2 days after the release that Amazon can't deliver until May 22-June13. This is completely unacceptable as I can't cancel the order, it's been processed. No phone numbers to speak to a representative. Had I known the pre-order wasn't guarantee I would have gone elsewhere.
Will be returning the item when it arrives and will start pre-ordering through other sites that will actually deliver.
Why take pre-orders that can be fulfilled?
Worst thing is, the game is available locally.
Very Displease with Amazon.
