I received the Kindle as a wedding present from my husband (he knows me so well). I must admit, at first I wasn't sure that I would like the Kindle. I am obsessed with reading and buying books. I love the smell of the pages and the cover art. However, I am running out of room in my apartment and the Kindle is perfect. I fell in love instantly with my new Kindle. There are so many features that are added pluses (changeable font size, built in dictionary, web access, downloading FREE samples,...) not to mention that this one small gadget can store up to 200 books AND fit easily into any of my purses. I am so totally pleased that I can overlook the few design flaws mentioned in the other reviews (no one is perfect!!). This is a great investment if you love to read. You won't be sorry.

This product is remarkable. I love the way the screen operates and allows for selecting from a number of font sizes. I also love the ease with which you can purchase and instantly download a new book.

This is one of the best things I've seen for the avid reader. It's light weight, the print is adjustable, and you can get any book in about 30 seconds. For the first time in my life, I can read in bed! The Kindle is well worth the money. I took it to our Book Club and everyone is asking for it for Christmas. We have salesman friends that read four or five books while traveling and this is definitely the answer for them as opposed to carrying all those books. Once again, thank you Jeff for your success and for offering the Kindle. Betty Blocksom

WARNING!!! International customers beware. Amazon will gladly sell a Kindle to you using a credit card from outside the U.S. but they will not sell the books to you. One is not much good without the other.

I have enjoyed my Kindle so much. I can't seem to put it down. I take it everywhere with me when I know I will have to sit and wait. It is more private than reading a book. Most people are nosy and ask what are you reading and will peer at a book. With the Kindle, they don't even ask. They don't know what it is.
I can't wait to see what type of new software that will be coming out for the Kindle.
Just wish more outdated books were on Kindle. But I'm sure Amazon is working on it.
