This won't keep your WD Pocket ableAugust 2, 2008 This is not as good as its price is and moreover, this is generic case to accommodate various brands. The most annoying part of it is once you "SOME HOW" place your drive inside it, its not easy to pull it out. The Elastic will surely get loosen after few weeks try. I only use it when I know I don't have to use my external drive for a few days. I prefer to let it on my laptop table most of the times. As far as recommendation is concerned, I won't but again it's the matter of choice. I believe if a thing breaks the basic law for a device, it should not be considered. This case is too big to claim it to be pocket-able. So the basic need of having a POCKET-ABLE external HDD gets killed. It comes w/o any case, so you won't be able to send it back.
Great product!July 31, 2008 Great product! big enough to hold two externals. I've got a nexstar on one side and a WD on the other. could hold two WD even easier.

Not For Standard 3.5 Inch Hard-DrivesJuly 22, 2008 I ordered 4 of these to be used to transport standard 3.5 inch hard-drives as part of a rotating off-site back-up scenario.
Found that the cases are too small for standard 3.5 inch hard-drives. Probably would work for a lap-top hard-drive, but I did not try that.
The cases look great, and appear they would be perfect for smaller hard-drives and devices.
