This wall charger has made it easy to keep the GPS charged and ready to go. This unit also comes with adapters for foreign outlets.
'Straight-In' connector is a pain.....October 20, 2008 The automobile power/charging cord is fitted with a ninety-degree connector, so why couldn't Garmin put the same connector on this A.C. device??
In order to charge the Nuvi using this accessory, one has to lay the Nuvi on its FACE in order to minimize excessive strain on the connection.

I use it when the GPS is connected for long periods of time to the computer, during downloads of Points of Interest (POIs) or firmware upgrades; those critical times when you need to have a stable, reliable power source.
why did they stop shipping this in the box with the GPS?October 9, 2008 Obviously this is the same charger that used to ship with the 300/600 Nuvi series. It works fine and is a great convience. I am annoyed that i had to buy it seperately but happy with it's functionality.
Why leave it out of the box? ;-) Yeah I know.
