GVHOctober 3, 2008 The Garmin Portable Friction Dashboard Mount has work very well for me. In my area if one uses the wind shield mount it leave a circle on the glass. This is an indicator to thieves that you might have a GPS in you car. Accordingly we have had many cars broken in to in search of the GPS. The Portable Friction Mount can simple be removed leaving no trace of a possible GPS.

A Must have for Garmin Nuvi 350 GPSOctober 3, 2008 I decided to purchase this product at the same time as the GPS (both a gift for my 18 year old son); a direct influence from the other reviews I've read on Amazon. Apparently the standard suction cups that come with the GPS are anything but sufficient. This was most certainly an excellent purchase. According to my son, the mount works exceptionally well (and we all know how an 18-yr-old boy can be behind the wheel). So far, the GPS has never once become dislodged from the mount or the mount from the dash. I HIGHLY recommend that you purchase this mount at the same time as the GPS.
Portable Dashboard Mount for Nuvi GPS'sOctober 2, 2008 This has 'bean bag' type base that holds the GPS steady wherever you want to place it on top of the dashboard. It is a bit less bulky than a similar one a friend uses and about the same price. The GPS snaps into a holder and the holding arm snaps into an arm extending up from the base. No magic in this product except maybe how securely the GPS interfaces with the holding arm. No problem in that regard. A secure fit would be my only concern in choosing a similar but lower priced unit.
Perfect!!October 2, 2008 It's just what I needed. My GPS kept falling from the window. Now it stays in place without any worries. You can easily remove the GPS and hide the mount under the seat where it won't be visible to the outside. I liked mine so much that I purchased one for my sister and one for my cuz.
