Great productNovember 30, 2008 I purchased this cable to connect my blu-ray dvd player, xbox 360 and HD DVR (which is 1080i) from Directv to my new Samsung 650. The picture is absolutely beautiful and shows no flaws on HD channels. I can't believe that Monster cables are so expensive compared to these cables. One thing to remember is that even though HDMI cables can handle video and audio, the audio is only sent in analog form (PCM). So, you should run a separate connection to a digital output receiver or something else (using optical cable) to really experience movie theater sound (Dolby Digital) and video (1080p).

HDMI cables can be cheap and goodNovember 30, 2008 If you have been to Best Buy and seen their pricing for HDMI cables, read this. I ordered one from Amazon 3 weeks ago and not only did it arrive in 2 days, but it also rocks! My upconverting DVD player looks great with just the hook up of one HDMI cable. Got the 6' cable just to make sure it would fit and it was a good thing too. Works seamlessly. Plug in and go. DO NOT SPEND $40 and up for this product! It's a total ripoff.
$160 for Best Buy HDMI? HAH!November 30, 2008 Best Buy has the nerve to charge $160 for 14K gold, "premium" HDMI Cables blessed by the pope. No thanks. These cables work just great and this is one example where you don't get what you pay for. You get MORE!
