good little (?big) playerJuly 31, 2008 I like it so far. I bought it because I thought my old one (only 7 inch screen) had been stolen. Right after I ordered it (before it arrived) I found the other one. When used around the house & garage (no headphones) the sound and picture are so much better than the old one, that I decided to keep it. Battery life seem sto be a little shorter than my old machine, especially if I pause it to leave the room. Also wish it came with a carrying case.

The Audiovox D2017 has a very good price/performance. I bought it for my kids and it is a very good option for car and also hotels/airports. Good Sound/Good Picture/Big Screen. Fantastic for seing your photo pictures using the SD card slot when travelling. The remote is not very good (you can't control the volume) but works fine. For the price, considering the size of the screen, size and weight of this portable DVD player, I consider it a very good option. If you don t live in "region 1" just follow this steps and have your player free for all regions: 1: Switch the DVD player ON 2: Press the SETUP button 3: Select Preference Page (3 times right arrow) 4: Input the number 9653 (type quickly) 5: Press UP arrow (0 means all regions)

The Audiovox D2017 was just what we were looking for. This player looks and sounds great, would recommend this to anyone. The only thing we don't like about it is it take a long time to bring up pictures when in insert the SD.

The Audiovox D2017 is a good value. We've had it about a month. Good quality picture and easy to use. Have used it plugged in with the included AC adapter and also unplugged running off the battery. Good response either way. The sound is also reasonably good even without headphones (haven't actually tried headphones yet). My only minor complaint is that you can't control the volume using the mini remote control. You have to actually get up and adjust the volume manually as needed. Not a big deal - more of a minor inconvenience. For the price this portable DVD player is a winner.
