3 out of 5 stars Is GE a better choice?   May 14, 2007
This is my second purchase of the same model. I use it in noisy situations like lawn-moving, vaccum-cleaning etc.

Actually, I was not really thrilled with my first one. It was heavy, the battery had to be carried in an external case, the noise cancelling is ok. The wire going into the left ear cup broke leading me to find a replacement.

I looked for something similar with with large ear cups for the sake of comfort. In the price range of this one, I could not find any that performed better than this one. One JVC model looked good but reviews said that the noise cancelling is bad. So, I ended up purchasing this one again.

Later, at a Home Depot, I noticed a GE model that looked similar. I will check it out next time.

4 out of 5 stars Excellent Noise Reduction   May 12, 2007
Comfortable, excellent noise reduction, good sound. The noise reduction switch in the middle of a long cord can present a problem of where to put the cord when you are walking around doing things.

4 out of 5 stars Good For Flying   May 5, 2007

The sound quality is good, the fit comfy and the close-fitting cups make for good sound isolation even without the NR on. When you turn on the NR, though, you'll hear that annoying jet engine hiss disappear into a faint background hum.

YES. I don't even listen to music with these. I put them on, turn them on and then just SLEEP for the flight.

AWESOME.

I love this product. I specifically bought it for a long flight to Hawaii and I wore them almost the entire trip. They were very comfortable.

2 out of 5 stars Good for a while...   February 18, 2007

I actually like these headphones, when they're working. I believe someone else mentioned how folding can cause the wire to short, i've been through three pair of this particular headphone and each one has had that problem. All sound from the right cup dies out, and i'm very careful with use, they stay on my desk at all times, but do tend to fold them after each use. Anyway they're nice enough for me to try three times but i'm going to switch to a different brand that may last more than a few months.
