Perfect accessory!June 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this to mount a 19" LCD TV/DVD combo by the spa outside and works great! Priced less than half of lesser models at major electronics stores. Recommend for anyone looking for a moveable mount.
Great TV Wall Mount.June 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This Peerless small TV (up to 22 ins) wall mount is probably one of the most versatile and good looking mount on the market. It is very easy to mount and well built for the size of the TV being mounted. All knuckles are very tight and no excess movement will be notice once the unit is positioned were it serves the user the best. The finish is very durable and will last for ever. Just follow the directions when installing the unit, very important!
Solid MountJune 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The mount is sturdy with enough steel to give it heft. There was no loose play (meaning swivels had resistance) and supported my LCD's 11 lbs well (max rating is 25 lbs). My LCD is a 19" squarish monitor but so if you're mountaining a 16x9 or widescreen, you will want to to check if the arm length is long enough to be perpendicular (90 deg) to the wall when it swings out with your size LCD, if you are mounting on a side wall instead of the viewing wall.
The amount is pricey at $43 and there is another mount (max 22" LCD) available from an Amazon vendor for $25, but with shipping and maybe tax, the spread would be smaller, and Amazon's fulfillment is excellent. Stylistically, this one looks better than competing ones available through this website.
Mounting was fairly easily; find a wood stud and drill two holes for 2 2 1/2" long Phillips head screws. However, following instructions to use the specified drill bit size (I think 3/16" dia) & length (2.5 inches), I found it really hard to turn the screws past half way (by hand). I eventually used a cordless drill, setting the torque to not strip the head. As others said, it comes with anchors for brick/concrete, and longer LCD screws & spacers for LCD panels that have curved backs instead of straight backs, and 2 cord tie-downs which I haven't used yet. You can also adjust the tilt at the swivel attached to the panel; it has high resistance so as to remain in place by pressure alone so you have to grab your panel to make tilt up/down.
I didn't give it 5 stars because the wall screws s/b hex nut (Phillips heads strip easily when it's over torqued) and the wall screws show, giving it an industrial look.
Hangs in ThereJune 6, 2008 This monitor mount does exactly what it's suppose to. It's a solid build and the movement is smooth. Hard to beat for the money.
Easy to put up, works great!June 5, 2008 Took me all of 3 minutes to put this mount on the wall, its strong and has a good quality feel when adjusting. My only wish is that it allowed the monitor to rotate so that I could put it vertical for reading documents, no reason not to buy it though - it's a good deal!
