Very Cheap 2GB portable storage device January 1, 2007 29 out of 31 found this review helpful
I have about a half dozen "thumbdrives" (Lexar and SanDisk) the largest of which is a half gigabyte (512MB).
I found this device is slightly slower than some other of my thumbdrives, using large (10MB+) files in the tests. But, given the large storage capacity, the price is very compelling.
I highly recommend this product.
Stopped working December 27, 2006 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This product worked great for the first three weeks... then it wouldn't save anything. For example, I saved a few files on one computer, properly removed it, and immediately tried to open the files on another computer... but they weren't there. On the good side, the seller refunds 70% of the price.

I've had the 2 GB Data Traveler for about 6 months and I couldn't be more pleased with it. It works everytime, and more importantly for me, has a very tough and sturdy keychain fastener, very rugged. Far superior to similar items on the market. Highly recommend
For Mac users... do not buy! November 29, 2006 18 out of 30 found this review helpful
Description does not include important fact that this is not Mac compatible. Once used, it cannot be formatted except on a PC. I couldn't even check to see if it worked to transfer files, although I did see many "zero KB" files, so I don't think it worked. All I know for sure is once the files are deleted the device will not show as empty until it is connected to a PC.

What's to say about it. It works, great size, and one of the more competitively priced ones at the time. 2 gigs of storage for this price is about as good as it gets.
