I've waited a long time for someone to get the e-book right and Amazon has done it with the Kindle. The device is beautifully designed and the service is very well integrated with the device. I can buy books and download them in less than a minute wirelessly. It works amazingly well. Reading the device is a joy. I've already read one book on it and I am in the middle of another one. I love the convenience of having many books in one small device. I can hold the device and flip the page with one hand using the buttons on the side. This device has essentially assured Amazon that I will purchase books from them exclusively going forward. I love my Kindle! The only constructive feedback I would provide is that I'm not fond of the page buttons extendng the length of the device. It's sometimes easy to accidentally turn the page because there is not an easy way to grab the device by the edge without touching the page buttons. It's no big deal, but can be annoying if you are easily-annoyed like me.

I am a gadget guy, and I have been burned occasionally when buying 'the next must-have' technology. But I did my research before buying and chose the Kindle over the Sony product, even though it is $60 more. The wireless feature and the website support is so much better than the Sony's cheesy PC application to put content on the device. I also found that the time it takes to turn pages is handled much better on the Kindle. I find that I am reading more, now that I have this device; it's simply more fun! I take it everywhere and the wireless coverage is great. I think this product is a home-run and I can't wait to see what Amazon will do with it next!

1) I love it! 2) so many unexpected features! 3) music plays too slowly...can this be improved? 4) can the side buttons be smaller? There's virtually no way to touch the machine without it flipping pages forth or back. 5) ease of getting materials into Kindle is amazing! 6) obviously, the cover needs improvement, but we all know that! 7) I love the ability to change font sizes. 8) Size of machine--perfect! (Or else I just happened to buy the perfect size purse for it to fit into, but it is superb for reading, drinking, and petting a cat at the same time.)

This thing is cool with one major inconvience. The buttons. The buttons, especially the "next page" button on the right side, is too easy to press accidently. When you are switching the unit off for example, you can accidently hit the too large button changing the page right before switching it off. You can hold this item with one hand so it is quite convenient. It would be nice if the kindle books were less expensive because you could buy used items plus shipping for less than a lot of the kindle books. It is convenient to be able to download and begin reading books immediately though.

I love this product. I have enjoyed reading with this. My eyes don't hurt like when you read from a book. There is no glare. Great for airplanes and riding in the car.
