I realize no one will probably read this review as it is way down the list. I received my Kindle as a gift and it is the most wonderful divice I could have ever asked for.
The feature I enjoy the most is the font size. I have difficult reading small print, and large print books are so expensive. With the Kindle, you just push a button, and the font can become large print!!
You can take this EVERYWHRE, and it fits into a nice medium sized purse. Because you can download multiple books, you can switch back and forth if you are bored. My eyes become weary when using the computer, but not with the Kindle. My grown children are excited I now have one - they believe my book clutter will resolve itself soon. (Not so sure about that, but they are hopeful).
My gift was the result of potty training a child I have been a part time Nanny for and potty training was well worth it to get the Kindle!!

The Kindle is almost as good as a book, and this is high praise. To me the best feature (being of an age when vision is iffy) is the variable font size. The ease (and cost) of downloading books is the second biggest plus. I only have a couple of suggestions: make the screen bigger, and figure out a way to make the text left-justify with hyphens, instead of leaving big gaps in the middle of lines.

This is the best thing I have purchased in a very long time. It is easy to operate, the screen is clear and easy to read indoors or out. I have also purchased a silicon protector and screen protector which have enhanced the product for me.

I bought my Kindle back when you had to wait about 6 weeks for them and there were count down days until the arrived plus many discussion groups about it. I was not sure about ordering one because I thought it was a little pricy. I was going on a trip and had 8 books piled up to take with me. I wanted to read them while sitting on the beach than I looked at the pile again and decided to ordr the Kindle. It is a great investment. I am very glad I bought it. It fits nicely in my purse and I take it every where I go. I don't mind waiting for anything any more, I read my Kindle instead of getting annoyed. (Now I get annoyed because I have to stop reading). The Kindle print is very easy to read I like the fact you can change the size of the print if your eyes get tired. If I want to read a book in a series, its nice to know you can order the whole series and have the next book waiting for you. I was concerned about the cover but found good advise with putting a piece of velcro on it and it works fine. I don't have anything bad to say about it and have read over 50 books so far.

Kindle: Amazon's Wireless Reading Device
I've had my Kindle for about a month now and I've seriously never bought anything that's made me happier. Reading on the Kindle is easy and using the store to purchase books is really easy. The battery stays charged and I can get multiple days of reading time with the wireless off. I bought a 4 GB SD card and I'm pretty sure I've got enough room to buy books until I die. Now the things I wish the Kindle had - in the nice to have category: a better holder. My Kindle does come loose on occasion but that's more an annoyance. On my serious wants I wish Amazon would work to get Mobipocket books available on the Kindle. I spent a weekend working to get the books I purchased on Mobipocket transitioned to Kindle. I'm done but it would be nice for those who haven't purchased yet. All in all, the Kindle has been one of my most satisfying purchases in quite a while. I highly recommend the purchase.
