I just needed a shelf for me son room and all I order was one....Looks great.
Not so goodJune 9, 2008 this is an okay item for the anount you pay but I wish I would have added a few more bucks for a better product. Its very difficult for the covers to stay put that suppose to hide the wire. Not sure what I can do about that because I can't keep the cover from sliding.
Fits my requirementsJune 2, 2008 I got this to mount my equipment to the side of my wall mounted plasma tv in order to have it high enough off the ground to keep my twin 3 year old boys from messing with it (they damaged my previous tv). I just use a couple cable runners between the tv/audio equipment and the components.
The plastic covers for hiding the cables on the spine of the shelves don't go on very easily and nothing really holds the cables in place while trying to snap the cover on. As a result I am only using a cover for the bottom section which is fine for my needs.

I am happy with this shelving. It looks good, the shelves are the right size for audio components like TIVO and a DVD player. Installation was fairly easy, but the directions could be better. But you can figure it out. It's sturdy and hold 30 pounds easily. You can tuck the wires behind but just not too much room. If you only have a few wires, it works fine.
I really like that it is in 3 pieces. I am only using 2 of the shelves, so I left the bottom one off. Not only can you adjust the shelves height, you can leave off one of the stems. That way it looks proportional with 2 shelves and not adversely long.
The 3 piece base is not all even. The plastic covers are all 3 equal size, but as you can see in the pic, you cannot space the shelves evenly all the way down to the bottom. The last 2 feet at the bottom is just a cover and you cannot secure a shelf to it.
My biggest complaint was that the bottom plastic cover came with a "Cap" that looks nice. The top does not. So it looks bare and you can see the cutoff. Again I didn't use all three peices so it is lower and easier to see. If you use all three pieces then you probley can't see the cut off as well, because its higher up.
All in all, a good quality shelf that works and looks good. I would recommend. Its heavy
