This iPod looked dodgy ever since it came out. It looks more or less a miniature version of the ipod classic. It's just 50 than a classic. This only store 8 GB while classic store 80 GB and it has no extra features whatsoever. Finally the 4th generation is out and that can do things the classic can't so don't buy this.
Great Nano, shame about the support September 16, 2008 I'm very happy with the ipod. Easy to download & good sound quality. The battery lasts well too. Unfortunately I have had no luck de-registering the previous user of itunes for this PC, this means I cannot buy from itunes store, nor can I podcast. I have trawled through support offered online, but I have not found it useful
good but apple should give advance notice on new ipods September 10, 2008 it is a great product to be honest, it does what you expect-is easy to use, easy to load, small...
BUT on the very day i recieve it, apple go and announce the new improved ipod nano v5. if i had known this i would have held out for a newer version!
Almost perfect! September 6, 2008 Don't know about PC users but this iPod synched with my iMac perfectly first time.
Superb screen - crystal clear, if a little small.
Really intuitive - you rarely have to read the manual with Apple products.
Not the best mp3 for sound quality and the supplied ear buds are worthless - buy some decent Sennheiser cans.
Tip: If iTunes cannot find the artwork for your albums just open any website that does show the artwork and drag the image into iTunes. Its easy on the iMac - not tried this on a Windows pc.
Apple Just keep improving it. Even when you thought there was no room. September 3, 2008 When I first saw this product up close I thought it would be too small. And it is small. Incredibly small. But when you turn it on you realise that everything still works brilliantly. The screen is still bright but not garish. I can easily watch a movie in clear quality without blurryness, pixelation or even bad light contrasts. I don't know how apple do it but they manage to squeeze such a fantastic product into dimensions that can comfortably fit into my top shirt pocket. The wheel is easy to use and doesn't go too fast or too slow when you try and scroll. The scroll even has a great handling ability and unlike previous nanos, I can easily scroll and then stop exactly on the thing I was planning to stop on. The only fault I can find (and this is trying hard) is that the maximum memory is 8gb so I can't fit all the songs on my itunes so I have to go back and delete some awful album extras whenever i want to put a new single or album on. But this doesn't take long and should be done anyway. So in conclusion I think that.......the ipod touch is better. I beats the nano by a little in everything good about it. Plus it's touch screen and has a bigger screen so better for movies (which I use it for). But if you aren't a gaget person and just want to listen to music and maybe the odd movie or you don't want to spend as much, buy a New Nano. Unoless you want lots of memory in which case buy a classic. I guess what I'm really trying to say is; buy an ipod!
