The reseller does not accept returns or responsibility if you purchase this item for a 3G iPhone.
I think it could be described better, mentioning NOT 3G higher up.
So I am going to EBAY.

This is really wrongly advertised. It sais iPhone/iPhone 3G, but they are different sizes and shape so it's not possible to use this product for both.

If you want a genuine Apple product for an iPhone that includes a power supply, this is a great product, but not suitable for the new iPhone 3G, which has a slightly fatter base (yes, it's bum does look big in it!) and therefore does not fit, unless you are prepared to modify it with a stanley knife.
