Good value frame August 15, 2008 I was looking for a photo frame which would take both a sd and xd card. There aren't very many reasonably priced frames on the market which take xd cards, I had a shortlist of 3!I chose this make for the good reviews and price over others on the market. The resolution means that photos aren't very crisp close up, but really these frames are to be viewed at a distance. It is great to view pictures just taken and with the remote control friends and relatives can scroll through pictures. This is easy to use and an excellent buy.I would recommend it highly.
Nice Frame - Great picture and easy to use June 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
There are a lot of frames to choose from out there so I took a while to make my choice and I haven't been dissapointed. I went for Agfafoto as I remember Agfa cameras being high quality, straight forward products and this frame lives up to my expectations. I really like the remote control as it is very easy to use and all the buttons are duplicated on the back of the frame, so its not a disaster if I lose the remote! The picture quality is good and the screen can handle 16:9 images as well as 3:4. There were 3 surrounds in the box which fit on the front of the frame magnetically - really neat! I like the black one best but the white and brushed aluminium are good too.
Awful Viewing Angle June 20, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this product from elsewhere. It has an awful veiwing angle which makes the product unworkable. I loaded some pictures on it and stood it on a shelf in the lounge to admire my work. The pictures look fine as long as you stand directly in front of the frame with your eyeline level with it. But the minute you move off center the image is so dark it almost vanishes.
Conclusion The frame works nicely in the lounge, as long as you don't sit down or move!
Not Recommended.
Couldn't be more satisfied June 14, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I did the research and looked at the other reviews on Amazon and decided to go for this frame. I'm glad I did. I can't imagine anything working any better. It looks good (and has 3 interchangeable frame fronts) AND it has a really cool tiny remote control which I would say is absolutely essential when buying a photo frame. It takes most of the available camera cards ... but I have used it mainly using a USB flash drive with absolutely no problems whatsoever. My elderly mother has just been admitted to a nursing home and it has proved to be completely invaluable in helping to get her settled with over 400 family photos permanently scrolling round. This is the perfect present and I would have no hesitation in buying another. Strongly recommended.
might be ok- if you get one that works! May 30, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am sorry, but | have had 2 of these in quick succession and, thank you Amazon, both were accepted back. Perhaps a duff batch of power adaptors? - but both frames did not switch on. I changed fuses, tried different sockets, but nothing worked for the Agfaphoto. So today I am looking for a new frame, a different make. Glad I did not wait to give to my elderly parents in law before opening box and checking!
