Product Description The NIX 'Designer Range' of digital photo frames has arrived. This new NIX digital photo frame features a lovely black leather look frame, as well as the latest technological features. Ideal for those who want style as well as the best photo display technology. Incorporated is a 128MB Internal Memory (thats 8 times more capacity than the Philips 7FF2FA frame). You can drag and drop photos directly from your PC onto the digital photo frames internal memory. Being able to directly store photos on the digital photo frames memory makes this digital photo frame suitable for any brand of digital camera. The NIX digital photo frame also features a high quality backlit LCD panel and an ultra high quality image processor that will display photos up to 14 mega pixels in size and in vibrant colours. Brightness and contrast controls allow you to optimize your display. The adjustable stand allows you to alter the viewing angle of the digital photo frame to enhance your view either from a sitting position (i.e. your desk) or your living room (standing or sitting position). The frames menu is designed to be straight-forward and easy to navigate. To improve styling and ease of use, NIX have removed the need for a remote control, this also removes the need for the traditional and ugly 'plastic dot' that most other digital photo frames have to incorporate into their frames for the remote control sensor. Last but not least here is a list of compatible formats and brands of digital camera and memory card: The memory card slot is compatible with Sandisk, Kingston, Bytestor, Integral, Fujifilm, Kodak (basically every brand of memory card) in the following formats: SD, Compact Flash & Memory Stick. The internal memory can accept images in JPEG format (transferred from your PC) and so is compatible with the following camera brands: Sony, Canon, Fuji, Casio, Nikon, Samsung, Kodak, Vivitar, Panasonic & Olympus. Please read the technical specs.

Finally a stylish frame! May 3, 2008 31 out of 31 found this review helpful
I'd been looking for ages for a photo frame with a leather look that would actually match my other picture frames and general apartment furnishings. Also my biggest bugbear is that most frames have that annoying plastic dot on the frame which I think is for the remote control receiver. on this model they seem to have done the sensible thing and done away with the remote control and made the frame nice and smooth without the plastic remote sensor. nix seem to have gone for the stylish yet simple approach, acknowledging that I only want to see my photos on this and not watch movies or listen to music (that's what my bose hi-fi and sony tv is for). As a result it seems to be much easier to use and there is no complicated set up. I used to have a Linx, but the setup and operation was a nightmare. Also I've been looking for something that has an internal memory that can actually hold more than a couple of photos. After doing my research I discovered that though some of the other digital photo frames on the market have internal memories, they all tend to be 16MB capacity which is enough for a few photos only. It's more of a token than an actual attempt by other like Philips. This frame has an internal memory that can hold quite a few pictures. plus it's really easy to use. you just connect the frame to your pc using the usb cable then drag and dump your photos onto the frame internal memory. when you use the frame you can actually see all your pictures as little thumbnails on the frame and decide which ones you want to view.
I'm sure there's loads of other techy things worth mentioning about this frame, but once again it's the styling I really like. All my existing picture frames are either wood, metal or leather and my previous photo frame was plastic and just stuck out like a sore thumb. and without a plastic remote sensor stuck on the front of the frame like a bulls eye, this nix frame fits in just fine.
