Excellent TV for small living room/bedroom !! October 22, 2008 I was originally thinking about buying a 32" LCD TV but after reading an article about correct viewing distances for different sizes of TV I realised that a 26" set would be best for my small living room.
I'm really glad I made this decision as buying a smaller set allowed me to opt for high quality and I doubt there is anything much better than this Sony in the 26" range. Not only is the picture truly excellent but the sound fills out my room.
TV looks and sounds fantastic. Strongly recommended !!
great tv September 1, 2008 Have had this tv just over a month and am really impressed with it - originally bought it as a kitchen tv but having nicked it for the lounge I have to say its a great little telly - if you want a tv that is easy to set up and use, has a great clear screen, okay sound - not astounding but okay, then I would recommend this one.
Better than the tv downstairs! August 30, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered this TV on 26th august and got it on the 29th(yesterday). So far i have only plugged my PS3 in (Via HDMI ofcourse.) Before i got this tv i used to play PS3 on the downstairs samsung 37" dont know the make, I have to say it looks much better than the samsung. I have the T3000 in my room, which is verry small, it dosnt look to big or small just right :D
I was also looking at the S3000 (which apparently has 1080p) , but the lack of features on the S3000 made me buy the T3000
In Conclusion, If you have a small room (bedroom / living room) this is the ideal size. I havnt tried it on freeview yet but im sure it is good as the PS3 looks amazing.
Another Sony triumph- better than I would have ever hoped. August 11, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I'd been after a 26" television for my room for some time, and being new to the LCD market had no idea what to go for. Everyone seems to have rated both this TV and the Panasonic 26LXD70 (I think that's the model of it) as the best two going. I recently went and saw the Panasonic in a shop and wasn't overly impressed (yes it was good, but for the price tag I'd have expected it to be stunning). I have always been a Sony man and love their stuff, the fact that this TV was also 150 cheaper than the Panasonic also made me more determined to get the Sony.
The TV is perfect for a bedroom, 26" is still fairly big and the unit itself is increbibly smart. It immediatly started scanning when I plugged it in. I had actually not taken into account the fact that it boasts freeview, reason being I had tried a freeview box with my old television and it didn't pick any channels up (due to where I live- even the postcode checker on the freeview website says my postcode can't get freeview). The freeview box had been 60 so a fairly decent model yet I had no joy. This TV somehow receives freeview channels flawlessly, I don't know how but I am over the moon with it, it feels like such a luxury having so many channels in my room- all displayed crystal clear on this fantastic TV.
Moving on from there is the sound- it's amazing. I heard some 26" televisions have poor sound quality, not this Sony- the sound is amazing.
Picture quality is unbelievable, when linked up to my PS3 (another Sony masterpiece!) with a HDMI cable the picture quality is breathtaking.
I really cannot fault this TV, for a 26" TV at a reasonable price to be used as a unit in the bedroom (or small living room) for general SD viewing and playing on the PS3 I can't see how there could be a better alternative.
Brilliant, brilliant piece of kit and another fantastic product by Sony. If you buy this TV, you won't be dissapointed!
Not great via aerial August 3, 2008 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I saw this TV in the showroom playing a film on Blu-ray and was so amazed at the picture quality that I bought one from Amazon on the strengh of it. I did expect to just attach it to my existing equipment via scart leads, turn it on, tune in the stations and get a reasonable quality picture. Unfortunately this has not been the case and I have been so disappointed in it that for now it has gone back into it's box. I remain using my 10 year old TV which it was supposed to replace as the picture is better than the Sony. I don't know if it's because I get my digital signal from an aerial instead of a cable but the picture is not clean and sharp and any movement is accommpanied by blurring around the edges which is far too annoying to watch. This is an HD ready TV but I would say that it's a HD only TV.
