Good, solid kit August 5, 2008 Not much more to be said. Far inferior items are sold for a lot more!
Good solid bracket May 22, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Arrived from Amazon within 2 working days on free delivery.
Well designed and constructed bracket, though the TV I bought (Sharp 26") only had mountings for 200 x 200mm and the plate on this is 200 x 100mm (hopelessly poor information from Sharp and others about the mountings their TV's require). Be warned, as I assumed that VESA spec plus this being marketed as for 15-32", it would be okay. I had to buy some extrusion & bolts to adapt it.
It hasn't really been designed with cable management in mind. I've had to hack through the plastic cover to stop it popping off whenever you swivel it, due to the cables I've pulled through. However, at least it could be adapted.
I'd echo the comments about alignment - very difficult to get an arm bracket to result in a straight TV when there's no mounting adjustment - though I haven't found this to be critical.
Tilt adjustment is useful, to compensate for the fact that the TV angled downwards with the bracket set straight.
Despite the reservations, I'd recommend this as a well-made bracket with excellent tilt & swivel movement.
A very good, versatile Tv wall bracket April 5, 2008 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
I bought this bracket at the same time as a SONY 20" CRT - admittedly not too heavy.
GIven the price of many brackets at specialist outlets, I was a little unsure of the quailty this item. I need not have worried. I found this to be just exactly what I need. It's very sturdily buiilt and I can see that it will comfortably acommodate the full 20Kgs they mention in the advertisement.
It was easiy to put together & inspired confidence with well thought out touches like recessees for the nuts to ensure that when you tighten the bolts, they hold firmly.
The two swing arms give a good degree of flexibilty - which is a relief! I also liked the locking mechanism for when you want to tilt the TV to a particular angle - simple & effective.
If I have a criticism it's that you have the drill 6 very precise holes in your wall - if you get them slightly out, there is little adjustment room. This means that if you mounted the bracket very slightly out of true, your TV will look correspondingly "wonky". It would be good to have some rotational ability to correct for this. Minor point though.
For what it costs, I thought this was brilliant value, well constructed and as safe as houses.
