Product Description The iPod touch is a revolutionary addition to the iPod range! It has a touch interface and the same panoramic screen as the iPhone, as well as a WiFi Internet connection. The iPod touch boasts a multi-touch interface, putting all your music and video files at your fingertips. The iPod touch also has WiFi connectivity so you can instantly access Google, Yahoo! Search and the millions of free videos available on YouTube. Unbelievably slim at just 8mm thick, the iPod touch has a superb 3.5 panoramic screen, which is perfect for watching films or TV programmes and for displaying photos and album covers. The iPod touch is also equipped with an accelerometer, which recognises the position of the player. When the iPod is in music mode, the Cover Flow function automatically displays album covers so you can flip through your music library quickly and easily. The iPod touch also has an ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen according to the environment. The iPod touch offers up to 22 hours of audio playback and up to 5 hours' playback in video mode. The iPod touch is set to revolutionise the world of digital music players!

Great quality for money December 3, 2008 Considering that this is pretty much the new generation of technology it excites me everytime I get it out. I have absolutely fallen inlove with it, however because of the cost I am slightly scared to pull it out on the bus home as people in Birmingham don't have the best tendancies ;) However the wireless connectivity is great, I can sit in my room and still have no problem accessing my wireless from several rooms away. The sound is great from the built in speakers and that was a completely added bonus as I had no idea the new generation has that. The first time I started it up itunes found it quickly and the automatic set-up was quick and painless and the iPod was ready for use within less than half an hour. It's extremely thin however is quite long but I find it still fits snugly in my pockets. Graphics are great and battery life is average I find. Youtube really is an added bonus but you can't watch them without an internet connection (obviously). Considering the iPhone is pretty much double the price, this is amazing for the price. The warrantees an added bonus and amazon are always great and fast. One can also purchase silicon cases for cheap but they're not necessary as the screen is pretty much scratch resistent. The only fault I have with this is the earphones really but that's nothing as they are just too big for my ears and give me a head ache, but that was an easy and cheap fix. So well done, no regrets on this one!
Want the Latest Ipod? Here's how to get it for a f1ver December 2, 2008 Christmas is coming so save your cash! Why purchase something you can get for 5.
Go to ipodgifts.net and sign up. Complete ONE offer - I would recommend Gala Bingo (you know, the one for on tv),as this is cheap and fun (and you might win some money in the process!)
If you really don't want to spend, there is a free Lovefilm trial.
All companies are well known so there is no risk involved- give it a go! I got my Ipod and many other things this way, so don't miss out.
I was a sceptic once but now I am SO glad I gave it a chance. B8C approved this system on their a while back.
Many different ipods to choose from and they send your gift for Free.
Brilliant once the bugs ironed out November 25, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have deleted a previously too hasty review. I now think this is an amazing little gadget. The chief drawback was that I could not get my email account set up, but once I took it in to the Apple shop they got it up and running and then I really saw what it was about. Free email and internet access anywhere in the world where there is wifi, means that it's possible to dispense with a BlackBerry.
The guide is not that helpful and you do have to hunt to find out how to do things such as downloading your Outlook contents. The keyboard size makes it easy to make mistakes, but as I started to explore the apps, I could see what a revolutionary product this really is.
Probably the most overrated device ever November 19, 2008 5 out of 36 found this review helpful
Things I hate about the iPod Touch: - Sound quality is actually nothing once you've heard better players. - Paid updates. Although this didn't affect me, it still gave me another reason to hate Apple with a passion. - Converting every single video to mp4 is a total waste of time and not always easy for the uninitiated. - iTunes is simply one of the worst music management programs I've ever seen and you're essentially forced to use it. - Menu lag and general bugs with second generation firmware! God! You're on version 2.1, can't you get it right yet?! - Paying for extra applications.. Why?? - It's overpriced for what it is. - The screen is far from invincible as I've already proved without knowing. - 16gb really isn't a lot if you're hoping to fit your music collection on and still have room for some video.
Basically, the only praise I have for the device is the reasonably good video quality. As you can see from my other reviews, I'm not just a random troll; I genuinely despise the iPod Touch.
Eagerly anticipated... November 11, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have waited eagerly for this iPod. The base model is practically identical apart from a few changes. A speaker allows for quiet sound to be played from the base of the iPod which is ideal for listening on the bus, with some friends but, the bass is very scratchy on loud output, but nice to see the inclusion of it. The unit, now has a curved back which Apple claims "is easier too hold", but I have no opinion on it myself. The addition of a side volume control is good as well. Other addition includes a Nike+ receiver built in for avid runners, and a new software update, with the update of Genius software. This allows you to choose a song, and for the iPod to choose up to 100 songs from your iPod to create play-lists, quickly and easily. The interface comes to life when in a Wi-Fi zone, allowing the maximum utility of the player. Connection to free internet allows YouTube, email, the latest live updates of weather and stocks, as well as google map function. The app store allows free application downloads, others have to paid for however. With the standard music and video browsing available, easy to access your music and videos - expectable with iPods. However, I feel that the 2nd gen lacks a certain something to make it stand out in a crowd like the 1st gen did. I don't know what I would like to see, I just feel the unit could include another 'blow your socks off' feature
